Patched Flash NPAPI for x86_64 Linux: Download

I got the information how to find the timebomb date here.
I found this value in my copy of 32.0.0.465 at addres 0x00C3FCE9, value 00 00 40 46 3E 6F 77 42, and changed it to 00 00 00 00 00 00 F8 7F. I waited until it triggered before swapping the files and can confirm that it works again.

I think a better option is to use an open source replacement such as ruffle, or my personal favorite swfdec (upon which development was stopped quite a while back, but I'm looking into reviving it). At the time of writing, swfdec seems to have much better performance and better support than ruffle and supports nice features such as being able to generate thumbnails. For me, Ruffle has worked on exactly 0% of the flashes I've tried (browser hangs for a while at 100% CPU, then renders nothing), and swfdec works for ~85% of my collection. For example, here is a small selection of my collection as viewed in my file manager:

I had swfdec installed back in the day when it was still being developed, then it just kind of fizzled out, but I wanted to keep using it so I've patched it to build and install on more modern systems. The power of open source!

I was also excited about Mozilla's Shumway project to use pure JS/HTML5 to render flash in a browser plugin, but that was shortly before they decided to kill off all their good projects and totally ruin Firefox, and they completely broke it, then stopped development. Perhaps someone more skilled than I could continue development on it. More options = more better.
